Well here we are for the second Bank Holiday of the Month. Sat outside on the decking for my breakfast, a healthy bowl of serial and a cup of tea. It was a bit cold, but still very pleasant and reminded me of what "Lodge" life is all about. Read the paper and watched the boats go by, just what was needed after what had been a very hectic and stressful week at work.

The new shop/coffee bar/deli is due to open today at Fallbarrow, and I have to admit, it looks quite nice, and we may even try it out. But then again, sitting outside of Fallbarrow reception with a coffee and panini still does not compare to a bowl of serial and a cuppa overlooking the Lake. Time will tell if the new venture will be a success, and you have to admire to a degree SLP's chutzpah in doing it. I just wish they had asked us before spending what seems to be a lot of money on something that is available in abundance in Bowness. SLP really should look to improving the jetties at Fallbarrow, making them safe and fit purpose before anything else.

Fallbarrow itself is now starting to look quite nice, with landscaping and decking around most of the new "for sale" lodges and caravans. Now we would just like to see the basic infrastructure to support all this new development. Limefitt Park has just got piped gas and many of us are concerned that the electrical power supply is not up to task.
