Most of the time we do not venture away from the lodge at night, preferring to eat in and enjoy the view. However, the other week we all decided to got out as a family to celebrate three birthdays. We decided to be really adventurous (no that is not sarcasm) and headed for Zefirrellis in Ambleside.
Zefirellis is a cinema and restaraunt combined and you can book a cinema and dine package, which is what we did. We booked for the Indiana Jones film and the meal after the film. IJ is an ok film but not a patch on the first IJ incarnation. The restaurant is vegetarian but don't let that put you off. None of us are vegetarian but the food on offer really is superb. The theme is Italian and as expected pizzas are well represented on the menu, but here is plenty of other choice. Best of all it is reasonably priced. All in all thoroughly recomended
