Had a mad day trip up to Fallbarrow to get the Lodge ready for guests this weekend. A very hectic three hours ensued upon my arrival which involved making the beds, dusting, cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming and cleaning the two bathrooms. Even though I do say so myself, I think I made a good job of getting the lodge ready. However, I would not like to have to do it on a regular basis. I have a lot of admiration for the people who do this kind of thing for a living. Having said that, we will have to do the whole thing again next weekend for some mid week guests. At least I will be supervised by my wife (actually she does most of the stuff and tells me what to do).
There are now three boats moored on the jetties. I plan to get my boat back into the water sometime around Easter. Just hope we get some good early weather so that we can get out on the Lake without freezing to death in the process.
Kind of been a low key start to the season for us. We have only stayed in the lodge for two weekends so far. Been a combination of commitments at home that has prevented us. Still we are planning on being there for most of Easter.
With the clocks going forward this weekend, I guess we can look forward to some lighter nights. I do enjoy this time of year and certainly prefer a crisp sunny spring day over a muggy summers one. But both were in short supply so here's hoping.
